Caglar is a digital and video artist. He has worked with and collaborated across a variety of media, including video, audio, digital, photography and performance. His practice also includes mentoring artists, acting as a consultant for inter/national arts organisations and film festivals, and curating digital arts. Caglar is committed to using different art forms to create an inclusive experience for a varied audience.
His work is often informed by a concern with the pressure to confirm to ‘norms’ which continue to prevail even in apparently liberal and tolerant societies. Caglar is currently working on Conscience, an installation project exploring the relationship between young people and the armed forces in Britain, based on research gathered during an Adam Reynolds Memorial supported artist’s residency at the New Art Gallery Walsall.
